I’m slightly obsessed with Cath Kidston, which isn’t surprising since I’m such an Anglophile. They’ve got the cutest conversational prints, especially London prints, and even Prince George and Princess Charlotte love their Cath! My son actually has the same backpack as Prince George, which gives me no small amount of glee since I bought his before I knew George had one.
The only thing I don’t love about Cath Kidston is the U.S. website. The prices are way higher than they should be if you do the conversion from pounds to dollars on the U.K. site, which I know is the bane of most Anglophiles and royal watchers, as many other UK companies do the same thing. For this reason I often wait until I’m in England to buy things unless it’s something that’s selling out quickly or a limited-edition, like their Disney collaborations.
But, even when I’m annoyed with the prices, Cath always manages to pull out a decent sale. I’ve been keeping a close eye on the sale prices this year as they frequently add further discounts. If you’re willing to risk it and wait a bit, you can almost always snag a better deal. Their website tells you how many of each item they have in stock in each size, so if the number dips below 5 or so, you might not want to wait.
Many items in the sale are perfect for the Duchess of Cambridge fan, with lots of Breton stripes and royal-inspired details. My top picks:
London Toile Dress (was $136, now $60.80): London Toile is my favorite Cath print, and I actually have never seen it in the black version (I own several items in the blue pattern). This looks like a very Kate-esque style to me, don’t you think? Girl loves herself a shirtdress.
Breton Pin Stripe Jersey Dress (was $104, now $64) This is another dress that screams Kate to me. We all know she is a Breton stripe aficionado! The flared sleeves are totally on-trend, too.
Village Windows Bark Cloth Pleated Skirt (was $72, now $35.20) Like I said, I am a huge fan of quirky prints, and this village window skirt reminds me of quaint English cottages. Act quickly with this one, there’s only a few left!
Scattered Sprigs Top (was $88, now $43.20) We’ve seen Kate many times with an embellished collar or pussybow style blouse. This has that same vibe, with the added fun of sequin trim. You could definitely dress this up with black trousers or a skirt, or wear it out to dinner with jeans.
Daisy Placement Top (was $80, now $40) Another classic Breton print, but with a super cute Disney twist. This would be perfect to wear to Disney parks (at least when it’s not 10000 degrees) and I love the button-shoulder detail as well.
Mickey and Guards PJ Set (was $96, now $48) There’s no way on earth I’d pay $96 for a pair of pajamas, adorable Mickey and London guards print or not. But for half off, I do love these. A button-up pajama always seems so much more pulled together and classy to me than wearing a crummy old sorority tee and yoga pants to bed. (Which I obviously do on occasion – #keepinitreal)
