Kate and William were out and about with Victoria and Daniel again today, and while I looove her red-and-white houndstooth coat, my eyes were drawn to the new pearl earrings she was wearing. They were identified as the In2Design baroque pearl drop earrings ($152).
Baroque pearls are quite cool because every pair will be totally unique, and while this is definitely not a terrible price for a handmade pair of fine earrings, the bargain hunter in me is screaming because I know how cheap pearls can be. My husband and I spent some time in India for his job a few years ago, and because Hyderabad is the pearl capital of the world, you can get a giant pair of pearl studs for something like $10, or a necklace for $30ish. Looking back, I wish we had bought more, but I digress. Back to Kate!
If you’re looking for a more affordable alternative to Kate’s baroque pearl earrings, I’ve found four beautiful handmade pairs from Etsy, all for $60 or less:
Ursula K Design white baroque pearl drop earrings: $60. These earrings are practically identical to Kate’s … and almost $100 cheaper! Loads of great non-pearl jewelry in their shop, too. Use the promo code Valentine18 to save 15% off your order, making these just $51!
Design by Anna Lisa freshwater baroque white pearl earrings: $43.95. These are a bit edgier than Kate’s earrings, with a more irregular shape. Very modern and cool!
IMaccessory baroque earrings: $49.95. I’m loving the hammered gold vermeil wires on this pair – a nice contrast to the pearls.
Wendy Shray Designs blush pink baroque flame pearl earrings: $36. If you love the style of Kate’s earrings but you’re not big on white pearls, these pink-hued earrings would be so pretty for spring.
I’ll be back with more tour copyKates tomorrow!
