This week I’m starting a new feature, Friday Faves. Each Friday I’ll be talking about some of my favorite new clothing/accessories, shows, food, books … whatever I’m obsessed with at the moment. Here we go!
Kate Spade Heart Earrings
I posted about this on my Facebook page the other day, but I was checking out some of the stuff on the Kate Spade site after my friend purchased a really cute bag and spotted these adorable heart earrings. They make a great replikate for The Duchess of Cambridge’s Kiki McDonough heart earrings, except they cost $58 instead of £1,833.33!
Although these aren’t on sale, you can use code SPARKLE to save 30% on all sale items at Kate Spade, and they have some really cute bags like this Hazel Court Alek chain strap style with a bow. LOVE.
Victoria on Masterpiece
Who doesn’t love a good period drama, especially when it’s about the royals? Masterpiece Theatre is my jam (I miss Downton!) and I am LOVING Victoria this season. Jenna Coleman is just so good in this role, and I’m learning a lot about Victoria and Albert that I didn’t know … although this week I fell into an unfortunate Irish potato famine Google hole that did change some of my perceptions about her. It’s interesting how the show chose to portray her involvement with Ireland as much greater than it actually was, but that is a debate for another day.
Sidenote: I LOVE LORD M!!!!!!! On one of my Googling sprees I found out his estate, Brocket Hall, is (disappointingly) now a corporate events, weddings, and parties facility, so you can’t tour the house or stay in it unless you’re booked at an event. But they have a very posh restaurant and you also can do afternoon tea there. Road trip to Hertfordshire!
Nordstrom Trunk Club
I got my first trunk Tuesday and have an item on the way that I exchanged, along with a second trunk next week, so I’ll be doing a full review of this service soon. Basically, it’s like Stitch Fix or Le Tote where you fill out a style profile online and then get a box of clothing and accessories sent to you by a stylist. Trunk Club has a ton of advantages over Stitch Fix for me so far: Being able to accept or decline individual items in advance is the biggest one, and there’s no styling fee if you have a Nordstrom card! If you’ve ever ended up with a box of Stitch Fix clothing that didn’t fit or you didn’t like, and then got stuck paying $20 for it anyway, I would definitely check out Trunk Club instead.
Have a great weekend!
