Spring is finally here, and that SHOULD mean packing away the heavy sweaters and dark colors and bringing out bright, fun, and happy clothes. Unfortunately, there’s a huge snowstorm going on outside my window, but I’ll just pray that some decent weather will arrive soon. I’m a huge fan of Lilly Pulitzer and while I wear some of their stuff in the fall and winter, their clothes really do lend themselves to the spring and summer months. With spring break approaching this week, I’m sharing 10 of my favorite new Lilly finds … even if, like me, you aren’t going anywhere more exciting than the mall for spring break!
Clothing
I love a good Lilly Pulitzer print, and this year I’m pretty excited about the new options. My favorite is the Bright Navy Taverna Tile Allover, which brings back memories of my honeymoon in Greece. In the Kelly ankle pant, this print reminds me of The Duchess of Cambridge’s GAP trousers. These are a great transitional piece for winter to spring, and also work well for cooler nights at the beach if you’re going away this month.
Lobsters in Love is totally obnoxious in the best way, and I think a casual Essie top (one of my favorite everyday Lilly items) works great in this pattern. Pack it for spring break, and once you get home, pair this with a denim jacket or light cardigan until summer arrives.
Lilly’s Callahan shorts probably make up 75% of my summer wardrobe, no lie. During the cooler transitional months of spring, you sometimes get a warm-enough-for-shorts day. A light sweater or tissue-weight long sleeved tee works great with a patterned short and doesn’t look super summery. Or if you’re lucky enough to be going away for spring break, then these are a no-brainer! I really like the new Callahan knit shorts because they’re soft and stretchy but don’t look too casual.
You can’t beat a Lilly Pulitzer dress for a spring break vacation or just about any other spring/summer occasion like weddings, bridal showers, birthday parties or graduations. If the weather gets chilly, I throw on my favorite denim jacket. I’m not a huge fan of straight shift dresses, but I looove this new Pearl soft shift because it’s a bit looser and not that stiff material the other Lilly shifts are made from.
Accessories
I’m really into printed sunglasses lately and I got a pair for super cheap in Lilly’s After Party Sale in January. This similar pair of Maddie sunglasses would look great with a crisp white dress or your favorite bathing suit – and so cute in all your spring break Instagram shots.
I’m kind of obsessed with these Waterside earrings! So fun and beachy but great for dressier occasions like a wedding. I was expecting them to be more expensive, but the $48 price is comparable to brands like Baublebar.
The Getaway Packable Tote would be ideal for the beach or pool, and it’s great to bring on vacations because it folds up and packs into itself to make a tiny square, so it hardly takes any space in your luggage! This is one of those bags that’s also handy to have in case you end up buying more souvenirs than you expect on a trip and need an extra bag for the way home.
Home
If you’re not going away for spring break, you can at least invite some friends over and pretend you’re in a tropical location! These hi ball glasses or appetizer plates definitely add some fun to your average meal, and you can display some apps on this adorable serving platter. The glasses come in 3 different prints and the plates and tray in two prints, and all 3 items are under $25 each!
Free Spring Break Gifts
Lilly Pulitzer also has some great gift-with-purchase promotions going on this weekend (March 24 and 25), both online and in-store:
