It’s Friday! We had spring break so it was a hectic week trying to work and keep an active kid busy and happy. I’m excited for Easter – and a return to routine next week!
April should be exciting since Kate is officially on maternity leave, and that means there will be baby news sometime soon! We’ll also have a Meghan and Harry appearance to look forward to on the 6th – they’re going to the UK team trials for the Invictus Games.
Now for this week’s faves:
Cath Kidston London Toile Dinnerware
I was scrolling through the up to 50% off sale at Cath Kidston and fell in L-O-V-E with these plates. I’ll admit, I have a London Toile problem (I own the backpack, tote bag, a skirt …) but legitimately needed new dinnerware, so I was excited to see these on sale.
I got the dinner plates, tea plates, and cereal bowls – all are dishwasher/microwave safe and super pretty, too. My little boy loves to point out Tower Bridge, Big Ben, and St. Paul’s when he eats! Even better, they’re on major sale. Right now they’re $10/each for the dinner plates, and $8.13/each for cereal bowls and tea plates, and the international shipping was only $8!
She Wolves: England’s Early Queens: Isabella and Margaret
You know I love a good royalty documentary! This one is on YouTube and well worth watching – great narrator/host, too. It tells the incredible stories of Isabella of France, who married King Edward II of England in 1308, and Margaret of Anjou, who married Henry VI in 1445 (if you saw or read The White Queen, Margaret is “The Bad Queen”).
I know a lot about the Tudors, but not as much about medieval rulers, so it was super educational and interesting. Homosexual affairs, a queen raising an army against her own husband, red hot pokers shoved into bums … the list goes on. There are other episodes of She Wolves so I’ll be watching those soon!
Diorshow Maximizer 3D Triple Volume Plumping Lash Primer
One of my favorite bloggers, Sheaffer Told Me To, featured this lash primer on her Instagram and since it was on sale for $25 last week I decided to give it a whirl. It’s a white mascara-type product you put on your lashes before you apply your regular mascara. It definitely adds some extra fullness to my lashes! It’s also supposed to condition them so they’re more healthy.
I’ve also been using an eyelash-lengthening serum called RapidLash. I want to wait the full four weeks until I post a before and after, but it’s definitely working so far. My best friend has been using it for months and has had awesome results!
Have you ever tried a product like this? Did it work?
Have a great weekend and Happy Easter!
