I love Thanksgiving, autumn leaves, pumpkins, and the cozy feelings November brings. But I’m also a person who loves to plan ahead and buy things early … and with Christmas just 46 days away (who’s counting?) it’s hard not to think about shopping. I actually have Christmas gifts I purchased last year already wrapped and tagged in a guest room closet!
If you have a royal enthusiast in your life and you’re looking for a great gift there are so many ideas out there. I’ve rounded up some favorites in this royal gift guide, including items from my own Christmas wishlist. Read on for 21 royally good gift ideas and a fab royal jewelry giveaway!
Jo Malone London Christmas Set
Both Meghan and Kate are huge fans of Jo Malone fragrances and this gift set includes a mini version of one of Meg’s favorite scents, Wood Sage and Sea Salt. It also comes with an English Pear & Freesia Body Crème, all wrapped inside a fun ornament ready for gifting! Grab it for $35 at Nordstrom.
Jazzdoodles Diana & Kate & Meghan Tee
This is the perfect tee for anyone to show off their love of the royal family. It’s $25 and available in 3 colors (the mint is my fave!) from Jazzdoodles on Etsy. I wore a Jazzdoodles royal wedding tee around Windsor the day before the wedding and got so many compliments. Definitely check out Jasmine’s shop and Instagram!
Royal Collection Christmas Ornaments
I am slightly obsessed with collecting royal Christmas ornaments and I pick up a bunch on every trip. Above is a snapshot of my little royal tree!
In my opinion, the embroidered ones from the official palace shops are the best and worth the money (they’re typically £25). They make excellent gifts and are really high quality. If you can’t make it to London, you can shop right from the Royal Collection site for a wide range of designs – although U.S. readers beware because the shipping is really high!
Harry & Meghan: The Royal Wedding Album
This keepsake book is billed as a “lavish commemoration of the fairy-tale wedding” and features loads of photos from the big day. I have this one on my wishlist! (Amazon)
Emma Bridgewater Prince Louis Mug
This adorable mug commemorates the birth of little Prince Louis and would be a great gift along with some favorite British teas. You can buy it for $26.95 from Emma Bridgewater, but if you live in the States like me, the delivery is more than the mug! (I’m sorry, but $30 shipping is just insane).
Not to worry, I have a tip! The Bee’s Knees British Imports is U.S.-based and you can buy your Emma Bridgewater pieces from them for a much more reasonable shipping fee. Plus, I like supporting a small business whilst I’m at it!
The Royal Hamster 2019 Calendar
Who doesn’t love a new desk calendar for Christmas? I own the 2018 Royal Hamster calendar and loved it so much I just ordered the 2019 version. Artist Christine Frazier sketches Marvin, the Cambridge family’s pet hamster, in Kate’s outfits (and now Meghan, too) and they’re ADORABLE. She also sells prints, ornaments, mugs, and other items – I want them all! How cute is this Princess Eugenie mug?
If you like The Royal Hamster, follow my podcast We’ll Never Be Royal on Instagram. We’re cooking up a little holiday giveaway for the next episode so stay tuned!
Vintage Royal Gifts
Go for something distinctly different this year and head to Etsy or eBay for loads of vintage royal china and souvenirs. Your gift will definitely be a hit, whether you’re looking for a Princess Diana doll or something much older.
You can find vintage royal souvenirs in great shape for under $30, like this 1937 King George and Queen Elizabeth coronation handkerchief or Silver Jubilee teacup from seller Number19Vintage on Etsy. I just treated myself to a coronation cup and saucer (pictured above!) from the same shop. Creating this gift guide is dangerous!
I mean, who wouldn’t want a solar-powered dancing, waving Queen Elizabeth II figurine?! I have a similar one and my son ripped the hand off when he was a baby. Now it just has this weird little stump that clicks back and forth. Maybe I need a new one! (Amazon)
Kate-Inspired Christening Earrings
I was a huge fan of the earrings the Duchess of Cambridge wore to Prince Louis’s christening earlier this year. You can get a great copy on Etsy from the shop MariannaLondon – she also has loads of other royally-inspired jewelry pieces, perfect for holiday gifts!
Princess Diana Art Prints
I absolutely love this set of minimalistic style prints with a famous Diana quote. You can order them in various sizes ranging from 5×7 to 11×14 ($18-$30) from seller MirandaLMcNulty on Etsy.
Meghan Markle Bride Doll
I fully admit this doll is a bit extra and it’s $159.99 but hey, YOLO.
Diana/Kate replica engagement ring
Every Kate or Diana fan needs a sapphire ring and I think this is the perfect holiday gift. You can find a copy of this famous ring from many different stores – it’s up to you how pricey you want to get in terms of real or simulated stones, gold or silver, etc. Check out a few options from Amazon, Overstock, and Kohl’s. I just ordered this ring and it will be arriving on the weekend. Although the previously linked version is closer in size to the real thing, I have small hands so I think a smaller version is probably better suited for me!
Meghan replica ring
I almost bought one of these when I was in Disney World, but sadly they only had large sizes. I put this one on my Amazon wishlist for Christmas, though! Overstock and QVC both sell some great, affordable replicas as well.
Milly Green Royal Wedding Notebook
This one would look great on the desk of any Harry and Meghan fan. I received this notebook in the royal wedding box from Quaintly and Co and love it! It’s available for £10.99 on the Milly Green site. For the Americans who want to avoid the £12.50 shipping fee, you can find the notebook at The Bee’s Knees British Imports.
Talbots Crown Earrings
Give her the regal look with these crown stud earrings from Talbots. They’re $24.50 but Black Friday is on the way, so keep an eye out for promo codes as Talbots usually offers some good BF deals!
The Crown: The Official Companion Volume I
Speaking of crowns … this is a perfect book for any fan of the TV show. It includes behind-the-scenes info on The Crown as well as historical details about The Queen and the early years of her reign. I have it on my own Christmas wishlist! (Amazon)
Princess Diana illuminated music box
Everlane Day Market Tote
As worn by Meghan (and yours truly!), this $175 Italian leather tote would make any Duchess of Sussex fan jump for joy this Christmas. Meg’s is cognac but it’s offered in six other colors ranging from black to blush. I carry this bag everywhere and it’s amazing for travel or carrying your laptop around. Grab one from Everlane before it sells out again!
Princess Eugenie Ring
Eugenie’s ring is a rare padparadscha sapphire and I absolutely love it. You can get a similar look with a morganite stone – or a good CZ, of course. This Diamonique Royal Collection ring from QVC is $44.50 and also comes in blue, similar to Kate’s. You can find a slightly more expensive ($160.27) version from Shiny Jungle Jewellery on Etsy, with a lab-created morganite stone.
Royal Paper Dolls & Stickers
Lastly, you don’t have to be a little girl to love a good old paper doll or sticker book! My sister gave me this Kate and Pippa sticker dress up book years ago, and my friend Jackie recently gifted me the Harry and Meghan paper dolls. So fun! These would make a great stocking stuffer or last-minute gift (thank you, Amazon Prime).
Royal Bundle Giveaway
Now that you’re in the gift-giving mood, I want to give something to YOU! To celebrate Meghan’s bundle of joy and the upcoming holiday season, I’m teaming up with my friend Lauren to give away this Stella & Dot Duchess Bundle!
Lauren, who is a Founding Director & Personal Stylist at Stella & Dot, is graciously offering one lucky winner this royalty-inspired set. You’ll receive a pair of the fab Stella & Dot Duchess Studs and the Duchess Pendant. Gift the set to your favorite royal watcher or keep them for yourself, we won’t tell!
Fun fact: Lauren attended Northwestern at the same time as the Duchess of Sussex and was also a theatre major, although she doesn’t remember Meghan (and yes, I might have yelled OMG DO YOU KNOW HER?! when I found out).
The earrings and necklace were designed to celebrate the royal wedding earlier this year and feature gorgeous CZ crystals. Considering they created the pieces before the wedding day, I think Stella & Dot came quite close to the earrings Meghan wore (and they look just like Kate’s Kiki McDonough studs, too!).
