While I love a beautiful piece of fine jewelry, sometimes you want something more trendy or fun that won’t break the bank. I recently came across The Songbird Collection and love their affordable pieces – but the first thing that stood out to me was they have several royal-inspired items!
The Songbird Collection generously gifted me two pieces from their site, along with a special promo code for my readers. Use ROYAL20 to save 20% off your order (no expiration date).
Let’s take a look at a few favorites to inspire you – and read on for a giveaway!
Anastasia Crystal earring
The first item I received is the Anastasia crystal earring. These reminded me of two different pairs of earrings that Kate has worn: the statement earrings Kate wore to the 2017 BAFTAs and to Prince Charles’s birthday dinner, and the Kiki McDonough morganite earrings she wore to Pippa’s wedding.
I wasn’t sure if these would look cheesy in person, but they’re super sparkly and quite pretty! They’d be the perfect showstoppers for a wedding, black tie event, or just a fun night out with friends. And at $24.95, you won’t have to spend loads of money to get a royal look. If you’re not a fan of rose gold, they’re also available in lavender or a very regal-looking red.
They were just possibly a bit too extra to wear out to breakfast in the suburbs on a random Thursday, but I wanted to give the earrings a test run before wearing them to my friend’s wedding. I wouldn’t say they’re light, but I can’t tolerate heavy earrings and these were fine for me to wear.
I would highly recommend if you’re looking for some special event jewelry!
Golden Wreath Double Finger Ring
The second piece is a great dupe for Meghan’s BaubleBar Peacemaker ring. The Golden Wreath double finger ring is a very funky and trendy piece of jewelry that, to be honest, is not something I would normally wear.
I loved the look of Meghan’s ring on her but just didn’t think it was my style, so I never bothered purchasing one. But when my friend got one and I tried the ring on for myself, I actually liked it more than I thought.
The Golden Wreath ring is just $28.95, so it’s a great alternative to Meghan’s $42 style if you don’t want to spend too much on a trend. The difference is the leaf detail curves off to the side, versus straight down like Meghan’s.
This is definitely a statement ring! It seems like it would be annoying to wear given the two-finger style and the leaf bit that hangs down, but it didn’t bother me wearing it out to breakfast and to run some errands, even when driving. However, if you work on a computer this isn’t the most practical piece of all time, so I’d save this ring for a night out versus wearing it to the office. Once I sat down to my laptop, I had to take it off.
Overall, I’m surprised at how much I like this considering it’s out of my usual comfort zone when it comes to jewelry. It’s such a fun ring and would be perfect for summer!
