It's been a while! Day job work, royal writing, and family are keeping me busy, but I'm back with a new post. Now that the weather has finally warmed up, the flowers are blooming, and spring events are filling up the calendar, many of us are looking for the perfect go-to dress. You know, that dress that can take you from a bridal shower to a Mother's Day brunch to a christening or birthday party. I'm a busy mom and admittedly, also kind of a klutz, so I don't want to spend $100+ on a casual ... View Post
Royal Style Roundup: February 2019
February has come to an end and that means spring is just a few weeks away! It was a crazy month so the roundup is a few days late, but I found some great accessories this month and a new coat, too. I'm attempting to take my own advice from the January episode of We'll Never Be Royal (you can listen on your fave podcast app, or on your web browser here) and be much more intentional about my purchases. After Marie Kondo'ing my wardrobe I've found I really don't need much of anything. This ... View Post
Royally Good Reads February 2018: In Defense of the Princess by Jerramy Fine
The February choice for Royally Good Reads is one I've been looking forward to reading for some time: In Defense of the Princess: How Plastic Tiaras and Fairytale Dreams Can Inspire Smart, Strong Women by Jerramy Fine. I've read and enjoyed Jerramy's other books and followed her on Instagram for years (check out The Regal Rules for Girls and Someday My Prince Will Come). I also am a firm believer that little girls can love princesses and girly things without thinking that women are only ... View Post
A Royal Jewelry Giveaway with The Songbird Collection

The Songbird Collection generously gifted me two pieces from their site, along with a special promo code for my readers. Use ROYAL20 to save 20% off your order (no expiration date). Let's take a look at a ... View Post
Royal Style Roundup: January 2019
January always feels like such a long month and although it's normally fairly low-key on the royal front, it's actually been quite busy! Both Kate and Meghan had plenty of engagements and some fantastic new outfits (if you missed my Meghan style post, you can read it here). For many of us, January is also a low-spend period after the holidays (and the associated bills!) so this is going to be a shorter Royal Style Roundup than usual. The good news is I'm bringing back the Style of the Month ... View Post
Get Meghan’s Look: January Engagements
Royal watchers were quite spoiled this week as both Meghan and Kate carried out multiple engagements. Who doesn't love a Double Duchess Day? Since we have so many outfits to cover, I'll be creating separate posts for the two duchesses. First, let's take a look at some pieces I found to get Meg's look on a non-royal budget: Black and tan at Smart Works On January 10 Meghan headed to her first official visit to one of her patronages, visiting Smart Works. I love the mission of this ... View Post
